The importance of elastomeric materials in our daily technologies increases. The ability of shaping polymeric materials under low temperatures increases their applications in many technologies. Other point is the increase of vast application areas of these materials in many different fields.

Electrically insulating elastomers, self-renewing (smart) materials, nano - membranes and their use in energy production and storage are some of the new technological applications of these materials.
